9/52 Self Portraits: A World Of Freedom

Self Portraits by Lauren LikesTo wander and explore. To pack up and go. To travel and experience. To be free of burdens and worries and responsibility. To be only two: two people, two suitcases, two tickets, two self sufficient adults. This is a world of freedom. To stay out late, to sleep in. To watch Netflix all day and eat cereal. To not leave our bed. These are our freedoms. To enjoy quiet and naps and books. To only have to consider and care for one other. To trust in and be satisfied and amused by only one another. To chase hobbies and choose nothing. These are the freedoms enjoyed by a happy couple of two. A family of their own kind. A happy, simple, suitcase in hand, family of two.52 Portraits is a photography course in self discovery by Vanessa and is hosted through Get Messy Art Journal. The course is a year-long journey in using photography and words to turn your reflection inward and capture who you are at this phase in your life. Learn more and join the course here. See all of my portraits here.
