Get Messy 13 + August prompt

Hey Hey Get Messy! We were just so blown away last week at all of your amazing parties! They all looked so fun! Can I come?! But seriously? Thank you so much for participating! We love this little community centered around art journaling.I have officially realised I have 2 distinct styles. One is illustrated via the top page. Magazine pages + words. The second is the second page which has a very scrapbooky feel but more sharing something pretty that wouldn't really fit into a 'themed' scrapbook. And you know what? I like them both. I don't have to choose. I am claiming it. I have 2 styles. And I like it.Packing mountain art journal by Lauren Likes blogAbove page was made from a travel magazine. This months prompt was created by the lovely and gushingly talented Caylee Grey! How the prompts will work: The 6 main hosts of Get Messy will rotate creating prompts each month. On the first Thursday of the month, the new prompt will be announced (always on my blog) for you to participate too! You have about a month to complete your page(s) inspired by this prompt. Then we want you to return here (again, always on my blog) on the last Thursday of the month to participate in a fun link up so we can all admire your creation! Ok? OK!August Prompt: A Self Portrait in ObjectsJournal challenge: Who are you? If you had one page to show the world who you are what would you put on it?Art challenge: Use anything except an actual photo of yourself to make a self portrait. We cant wait to see what you guys create!
