Halloweenie Wreaths!

So I have always been not such a large fan of the wreaths....just too large and tacky and dead and fake. BUT! Recently this huge trend in yarn and felt wreaths has gotten me hooked. So today I went to hobby lobby and bought the items for my first wreath and man I am SOOO excited about it! Take a gander and please share your Halloweenie decor ideas with me! I LOVE this season, perfect weather, beautiful colors, lots of candy and playing dress up. What's not to love? So lets get to celebrating!

Isnt is just the cutest?! I was very proud of myself :)

And here is your how-to!

First, gather your materials:

You will need:

A foam wreath: 2$

Yarn:2$

Wool/felt in colors of your choice: 50 cents

Scissors

Craft glue/Fabric glue

Making my total: 4.50$

The first thing you will do is put a tiny drop of glue onto the wreath to hold the end of your yarn in place and begin wrapping the yarn tightly and carefully. This process took me quite a while. I watched all of Kramer vs. Kramer. So sit back, pull up a great movie and get to wrapping :)

Once you're done this will be your finished product:

At the end, I put a small drop of glue to secure the end, but you can barely see it:

Now it's time for the fun! To make my ghost I cut out a template and traced it onto the felt to be sure it was the right size.

The rest of the bats and the word BOO I cut out by hand, after drawing them on with chalk, so get creative and make whatever suits your Halloweenie fancy!

Once everything is glued on with fabric glue, you are ready to hang! Which now is my hubby's project :) I cant wait to get it hanging up to celebrate halloween and to let all the trick or treaters know that we will have delicious candy....but not in a creepy way....So get to creating some fun wreaths for all your holiday decor needs!
