Mini Book: Cruisin'

*This post is part 2 of Scrapbooking on the Go and is a part of my 1 Paper pad, 10 Projects Challenge. As I explained in the first post, I wanted to make a mini album while I was traveling. So I set up this awesome kit, created my minibook and took all the embellishments, etc that I thought I would need. Well, adventuring/relaxing got the best of me and I did absolutely nothing while on my trip. Whomp, Whomp. But! I did take a journal and everyday I wrote down what we did, the memorabilia I collected that day and what I wanted to put on each spread. So with all of this in my handy Project Life box, when I came home all I had to do was print my photos and complete the layouts. All the journaling cards, memorabilia and embellishments were already preassembled for me and made putting the album together a breeze and I got to embellish a ton more than I would have had I done it on the cruise. Here are the photos of the finished album, click for a better look. Techniques and supplies used are listed at the bottom. Enjoy!07-IMG_406608-IMG_40671-minibook3-Collages572-Collages561-Collages554-Collages585-Collages5909-IMG_4095 10-IMG_4098Supplies Used: Covers are thin cardboard modged podges with scrapbook paper. Papers are assorted from many different places and from this pack. Rings can be found at any office supply store. Embellishments are Studio Calico wood veneers and other collected scrapbook embellies. Project Life cards and smash book cards. Memorabilia from our trip. Photos are printed at Walgreens, instagrams also through the walgreens app and Polaroid 300 for the instax. Washi tape, date stamp. Elise Joy printable quotes.Techniques used: I chose travel/ocean themed papers and embellishments to match and assembled the book beforehand as explained in the previous post. I narrowed down my photos to only my favorites and tried to incorporate as much memorabilia as possible. Other photos not used got put into a Project Life spread. The cover title is song lyrics that I just typed onto computer paper, printed, cut out and modged podged onto the cover. I glued the front and back photos on with modge podge also, to be more durable. This was a really fun first minibook! I'm already dreaming up my next one!
