Project Life Week 4

Its week 4 and I'm way behind on this project. This is the last week that was up to date and now I'm a month behind. Oh well, at least I made it ALL the way through JANUARY....4-IMG_5579Loving another 1 page spread here. This was a whirlwind of a busy weekend. Saturday we attended the most beautiful wedding. One of the girls I had the privilege of leading in my small group since I started leading. So watching her get engaged, graduate college, plan a wedding, teach in Costa Rica for a year and then become a wife has been such a huge blessing for me. Not to mention she is by far the most caring, honest, friendly, sweet, grounded, godly woman I know. So, to say in the least, its been fun. Oh and her wedding. Like a page off Pinterest. Rustic but classy charm. Handmade, quirky details. And never before have I been at a wedding where spontaneous worship has broken out. Possibly best wedding to date.5-IMG_5580I am still experimenting with ways to include digital products and here I just ran my title card through my printer. It come out a little off-center, but I love it. To offset the non-centeredness I added some Studio Calico wood veneers. Then I stamped the date in gold ink. I'm still ehh about the way the gold ink looks stamped, but Im really loving RuKristin's stamp and ink series she's doing right now!6-IMG_5582And last, I've spent the past few weeks preparing for an event at church called Grouplink. It happens twice a year and hundreds and people get placed in new small groups to do life with. This was my second round of owning a small part of the event. This is by far one of my favorite events of the entire year (whether or not I get to participate or just volunteer), there is just nothing I love more than helping people meet others who will become their best friends, that weird guy and their unwavering supporters and encourages for life. Seriously I love it. So, I included the card we hand out for people to register (I'm super lucky our church has an awesome graphic designer on staff who designs fantastic flyers and things that look great when included in my spreads).  I just wrote a quick note about grouplink around the edges of the heart card from the Midnight Edition. I added a flair piece that I made using these tools and tutorial out of a SeaFoam edition card. I included the little card case that a Starbucks gift card came in and traced around the design in gold sharpie to make it show up more.Products used: Caylee Grey weekly cards. PL Core Kits: Midnight, Seafoam.  Elise Joy stamp. Itop tools. Studio Calico wood veener.Techniques used:  Photos edited in VSCO cam.Memorabilia: Grouplink card from church. Starbucks giftcard holder. The tiny photo of the couple was actually a business card/notifier for their wedding photos from the photographer*Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins
