Street Scenes in Seoul

Seoul Street Scenes by Lauren Likes After reading this post by Elsie I could totally relate. I got really attached to my big camera over Christmas break and have been feeling a little bored with my phone photos lately. I've also recently been really intrigued with the idea of getting more into a documentary/street scene type of photography. (Cough, cough, there are some skillshare classes calling my name). On Saturday, I read Elsie's post and then went to brunch with friends. It's freezing (as always) but it was a really nice day. I was out of money on my bus card, so I decided to walk home instead of refilling it. On the way home I challenged myself to take 10 photos of scenes on our street and to look for the biggest pops of color. Side note: there is SO much color in Korea! These are a few of my favorite shots that I took that day. Only the above photo has any editing and all were shot with my iPhone 5s. I think this may develop into a fun little series of street scenes from around the places we go. This set of photos are from the road we live on, so these are our everyday street scenes. 2015-01-17 12.34.33PS. That chocolate shop sells so many good and different types of chocolate drinks....all of them alcoholic. So unless you get it without, this isn't the place to stop for your morning hot chocolate on the way to work.... 2015-01-17 12.36.11Our street is actually a part of the antique district. So every day there are tons of cool old furniture out, but be aware it is SO pricey! 2015-01-17 12.39.24 2015-01-17 12.43.49 HDR-2 Scooters eeeevvvverryywhherrreee!2015-01-17 12.47.18A grocery store. 2015-01-17 12.52.01And last, a new nail saloon (pink/yellow) and our favorite local, cheap Korean restaurant Kimbop Heaven (red). We can eat a full meal here for 7$ USD altogether! What does your street look like?
