What I Wore: Creativebug Edition

What happens when you work at your dream job and that involves being on camera every day? You get to wear all your favorite outfits!!As someone who works from home, alone, getting dressed is a little...uh... lose these days. But I was thrilled to put together some of my favorite pieces to create a fun, branded look to help pull together every last detail of our Creativebug courses to make sure they were perfect. And if you read in the behind the scenes post you'll know that Caylee and I matched each other AND the set every single day - completely by coincidence..but also not because we clearly have brand/life colors and these are them. Now! Let's talk outfits! You should know that 95% of what I wore was from Poppy and Dot. You can read more about my love for them here and get a discount on their instagram and website using the code LAURENLIKES10. But know that they only carry limited runs of items, so most of these items are gone, but they will have more of each style coming in and out frequently, so be sure to follow them and act fast if you see something you like.**Please note that the only affiliate links are from Poppy and Dot as you and I will both receive a discount when you use my code. Everything else is just because I love these brands and believe we should wear clothing that is beautiful and makes us feel amazing.First, above, that yellow color blocked tunic from Poppy and Dot is my absolute life color. I even have a chair in that color and it's my prized possession. I paired it with navy tights and tossed on a cream cardigan because it's cold in San Frisisco in July yall! Then I wore my Hobes Boat shoes in Beach. They are the lightest, most versatile and comfiest shoe. This top is so lovely and such a statement piece. The jeans are the comfiest and stretchy. Both are from Poppy and Dot and rest assured when buying pants online, if you actually take the time to measure and use the fit guide from P&D your sizing should be dead on in pants. In tops I find they tend to run a bit big so all of mine will be smalls, though I normally wear a medium in tops. Birkenstocks for life and my earrings are showstoppers from Altar'd State. Dress is Poppy and Dot and shoes are from Vietnam. Ps Poppy and Dot's dresses almost all have pockets because duh and I firmly believe everyone should own a good leather pair of sandals.Surprise! Tunic/dress is Poppy and Dot and I sized up in this one to a medium so it would be longer like a dress. When it isn't so cold I can wear it as is or toss on some black tights like here. And last, romper is Poppy and Dot + this AMAZING layering top (these do stay in stock!). These tops are like crop tops that are made to be worn UNDER something to extend the neckline, shoulders, etc. I have a medium in white and a large in black and they both fit great. So I would suggest ordering true to size in these or even a size up if you are worried about it being too tight. They are pretty stretchy and are SO versatile. I wear them constantly. The jacket is from H&M a few years back.As you can see, I wore a few staples on repeat and changed my main outfit since they would be filmed each day, but normally when I travel I wear things on repeat. I wanted to share this post because I believe that how we dress can help tell our story. I hope you're inspired to add a few pieces to your collection that help represent who you are and what you want to put forward in the world and that you are encouraged to go a little bolder and wear things that are fun and make you feel good because you look great girl.
