Project Life: The Beginning

IMG_2651

It's finally here! I've been waiting and hoping and second guessing and dropping hints at Terrell for weeks about wanting a project life album. And for Valentines day he completely surprised me (we are no gifts kinda people) and he got me the fantastic seafoam edition cards and the mixed design pages! I was seriously a girl in heaven.IMG_2780

I still havent designed my cover page yet because I want it to be über special and awesome. And since I didn't know I was going to be doing a project life album I wasnt quite on the 'take pictures of everything so you can scrapbook it' train. So I did January in just this 2 page spread. Here are some more up close and personal looks at the first pages. These are our Nica support cards!

This is the right side. It is pretty simple. I am still trying to figure out my style, but I am very happy with how easy and pretty these turned out.IMG_2785

I love the way our new years eve picture turned out with the confetti look! I just used the ends of some pens and dipped them into your every day acrylic craft paint and then right onto the picture.

I added in an 8 1/2 by 11 page protector here and put in our Nica letter and simply printed out this Currently Blog post, so I can remember all our favorite things from that month.IMG_2790

And Here is the beginning og February, it will only get 2, 2 page spreads. I'm not sure that I will even end up making this into an every week kind of thing anyway. I will just see how it goes and add pages as I have pictures and memorabilia to fill it up.

For these pages I included some pictures from this post from valentines day and from this post about when I met my blogging heroes!

For the second page I used pictures, a postcard and journaling card for our small group retreat. I wrote right onto the funnel cake picture with a sharpie pen. I love this! There will definitely be more writing on pictures in the future! I used some washi tape to adhere the picture and postcard together. And taped those cardstock letters right onto the top pictures also. For these pages I branched out more and added in some of my own paper and some printed out journaling cards I found on Pinterest. Check out my project life and printable cards for more free inspiration!

I chose Project Life because of how easy and fun it is! Without it, all these little memories would be lost in cyberspace, but now I can remember our day-to-day life in these yearly albums. If you want to know more about Project Life check it out Becky Higgins, the creator!
