An (almost) Year With The Get To Work Book: A Review

A-Year-With-The-Get-To-Work-BookIt's been almost a year since I started using my Get To Work Book by Elise.  I shared an in depth review after I first received my planner and had used it for about 2 months at the time. I still stand by my review and am still absolutely loving my book. I wanted to share an update on how I am using it now and on whether or not I will be reordering another one.Spoiler alert: I already have ordered next year's planner.I filmed a quick time-lapse of my book from beginning to end to show you how much I have been using my book and because I LOVE seeing peeks into other people's messy planners.Get-To-Work-Book-2Ok, so last time we chatted, I wasn't using the end of the month reflection pages, they just felt odd to me. But I gave them a chance and now I cant wait to get to them. I really love the 'things to let go of' column as it has been really helpful for me as I have been over committing a lot lately and need that time to and space to move on from a few things. Get-To-Work-Book-3Another fun thing I have been doing is using the extra week pages (these occur every now and then when their is one odd day that spills over into another month from another week) and the gridded pages to plan out my project life pages. Im in a major catch up and this has been vital to doing it on such a large scale. Get-To-Work-Book-4The best change I have made is how I organize my day. I saw this on the Get To Work Book instagram to divide up the to do list and the schedule. I put my schedule, as I see multiple students each day, have meetings, duties, etc up top and in order so I can see where I have to be and when at a glance, then leave a space (when possible) to put my to do list and at the very bottom will put any night time activities that occur after work. This has helped me stay more organized which is why I LOVE the GTWB Instagram feed as you get so many great ideas from how others are using their books. Get-To-Work-Book-5This is a great example of how I used the project pages to plan out my postcard launch. I also have the notepad of these pages because I use them for soooo many things.Get-To-Work-Book-Review-1And last, but not least, I am loosely using the month planners now. At first I wasnt, but as the school year wraps up SO much stuff starts to happen and it is imperative that I see it all at glance. I don't use it very detailed, but I do add in big events so I can see where to not plan things. Ps totally loving the arrow tape from GTWB also to mark big events like my mom being in town! So, those are my updates on how I am now using the GTWB that are a little different from the very beginning and with these changes, I am officially using EVERY page and feature in the book. I love every thing about this book and am so excited to get started with next years book as it has a few new features that I am even more stoked about. And a quick update for you on how the book is holding up: GREAT. No rips or tears and very little wear honestly. I only carry it home on Fridays and leave it on my work desk for the week, but it is holding up really well and I am ordering the chipboard cover again for next year because of this, but if you needed something more sturdy I would go with the new hard cover black one.To read my in depth review go here and order your own here! PS this is not a sponsored post or affiliate link, I just truly love this product and it has been incredibly helpful for me and I feel that it will be helpful for others no matter what you need to plan.
